Black Husk wording fix, Cain Epilogue guide revision, Origin Lab indoor mapping, late-game region polish, and wall-stuck movement fix.

Last updated:

Version 1.0.58 Hotfix

v1.0.58 is a hotfix released on 15 September 2026 for Fatal Claw 1.0. This hotfix follows v1.0.54 by four days and concentrates on copy clarity, indoor mapping quality of life, late-game region polish, and a confirmed movement bug fix. This page documents the confirmed changes.

See Updates Hub for the full version history.

What v1.0.58 adds and improves

Cabitz Black Husk skill description revised

The Cabitz Black Husk skill description has been reworded for clarity.

The previous copy was ambiguous about the activation timing relative to the pogo bounce. Players were triggering it on the wrong frame, which reduced the skill’s effectiveness in combat. The updated tooltip now states the correct cooldown interaction with the inheritance event window.

This fix applies to the Black Husk Cabitz description in the Abilities Hub. Players who were using Black Husk in their builds should review the revised wording to ensure they are activating it at the optimal moment.

Cain Epilogue guide revised

The guide text for Cain’s Epilogue has been corrected.

The previous guide pointed players at a trigger condition that no longer matches the patched Cain ending sequence in v1.0.58. The corrected instructions are now reflected both in-game and on the wiki.

If you previously failed to trigger Cain’s epilogue on a save from before v1.0.58, you may need to revisit the trigger location. The checkpoint state is preserved, but the script flag was reset with this patch. See Endings for the corrected trigger path.

Origin Laboratory indoor map markers

Indoor map item markers have been added to the Origin Laboratory.

Previously, indoor event items inside the Laboratory did not render on the map. Players had to rely on memory for the room-by-room item sweep. Markers now display in the same style as the walkthrough indoor layer, making it easier to track collected items without manual notation.

This quality-of-life improvement benefits new players who spend significant time in the Origin Laboratory during their first run. The change also applies to adjacent rooms that are properly tagged in the map layer.

Elord Castle playability polish

Playability improvements have been applied across a handful of rooms in Elord Castle.

The studio did not publish exact room-level changes for this polish pass. The Elord Castle region page will carry the running reference once player-verified notes are available in the content pack. Treat this entry as a confirmed quality-of-life pass rather than a content addition.

Kannir Belt playability polish

Playability improvements have been applied in select areas of the Kannir Belt.

As with Elord Castle, specific room-level deltas are not in the public patch text. The Kannir Belt region page serves as the canonical wiki reference once player-verified notes are compiled.

Wall-stuck movement bug fixed

A longstanding intermittent softlock involving wall geometry collision has been resolved.

When a character collided with certain wall geometries, players could not move left or right until the character took damage or the room was reloaded. This movement softlock was reported on the Steam Bug Reports forum under multiple threads over the preceding month, with intermittent reproduction conditions involving specific wall geometries inside Elord Castle and Kannir Belt.

The studio confirms the fix in the v1.0.58 patch text. If you encounter a fresh reproduction after updating to v1.0.58, capture a clip and post it on the community Bug Reports forum.

Additional stability fixes

NDEV notes additional stability improvements without itemizing them.

Treat any regression you observe matching the v1.0.58 patch window as community-confirmed for tracking purposes. The wiki will monitor community reports for unresolved edge cases.

What v1.0.58 does not change

This is a quality-of-life and polish update. It does not:

  • Add new regions, bosses, or story content
  • Change game balance, damage values, or enemy health pools
  • Modify the Steam Deck Playable status
  • Alter the four launch regions from Version 1.0
  • Address controller binding issues (resolved in v1.0.41)

After v1.0.58

This hotfix represents the latest round of post-launch improvements from NDEV GAMES. The wall-stuck movement fix addresses one of the most frustrating intermittent softlocks reported since launch. The Black Husk description correction and Cain Epilogue revision improve clarity for players engaging with the game’s build systems and ending content.

The Origin Laboratory indoor mapping improvement is particularly valuable for new players who spend the most time in the game’s opening area. Better item tracking in the early game reduces the need for external note-taking.
